Our Truly Sumptuous 100% cotton Navy Blue velvet is a very dense, dark, deep shade - a colour as luxurious to the eye as to the touch.
This fabric is a soft furnishing velvet, widely used for curtains, drapes, cushions and other interior home projects. Also used on occasions when a clothing fabric is required and dressmaking velvet is not considered to be heavy enough - such as making an outdoor jacket
We don't recommend it for upholstery work unless the item is for decorative purposes only. There’s a very good reason for this - the pile is not sturdy enough to cope with the everyday wear and tear required for seating or foot stools etc. For such projects, you need our upholstery fabrics
