Our Truly Sumptuous Redcurrant Curtain Velvet is a thick, heavy fabric and a deep, winey shade of red - very classy! There are lots more colours available in our Curtain Velvets - from rich and royal to subtle and muted.
This fabric is a soft furnishing velvet, widely used for curtains, drapes, cushions and other interior home projects. Also used on occasions when a clothing fabric is required and dressmaking velvet is not considered to be heavy enough - such as making an outdoor jacket
We don't recommend it for upholstery work unless the item is for decorative purposes only because the pile is not sturdy enough to cope with everyday wear and tear required for seating or foot stools etc.
